First published on Nikon Rumors, these are the pictures of the new Nikon DSLR camera model D5500 set to replace the D5300 released back in October 2013.
The new camera which comes in two colors, red and black is reported to be the first Nikon DSLR that will feature a 3.2″ touchscreen LCD alongside a 24.2 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor. Similar to it’s predecessor, the D5500 will also be missing the optical low-pass filter to produce higher quality and sharper photos. It is also capable of handling up to 820 shots on a single charge with 60% flash usage.
In the states, the Nikon D5500 will retail at an estimated US$900 for body only.
