Little has been revealed about director Stephen Chow’s latest film ‘The Mermaid’ (美人鱼) but its first trailer released today on Youtube drops hints of a comedic genre, which isn’t all that surprising given Stephen’s past productions.
Stephen Chow has stepped away from acting after his last appearances on the screen in both critically acclaimed movies Kung Fu Hustle and CJ7. He went on to produce ‘Journey to the West’ in 2013 and two years later here comes his latest masterpiece.
Screening date hasn’t been finalised for Singapore, but it should land sometime during Chinese New Year.
