IKEA recalls LATTJO Bat Cape toy due to risk of causing strangulation or neck injury

Proof of purchase not required for return

IKEA Singapore is urging customers who have bought the LATTJO Bat Cape as shown in the picture above to return it.

In a product recall announced on their website and Facebook page, IKEA warns that the cape toy may cause strangulation and neck injuries after reports that several children received marks and scratches on their neck because the cape did not detach itself easily.

However, no injuries requiring medical treatment have been reported globally, IKEA is recalling the product as a precautionary measure. The LATTJO Bat Cape has been sold in Singapore since late last year and can be returned for a full refund, proof of purchase not required.
