120-year-old Unagi specialist Miyagawa Honten from Tsukiji Japan to open shop in Singapore

The Unagi specialist Miyagawa Honten from Tsukiji, Japan is set to open their restaurant in Singapore soon, according to popular food blogger ladyironchef.

The 120-year-old shop famous for their excellent charcoal-grilled eel dish that is cooked until soft and tender with a smokey flavour served with thick and spicy sauce will soon make their debut here.

Miyagawa Honten signature dish is the unaju (eel over rice) is priced at ¥2,100 (S$26) while full-course menus are priced between ¥4,200 (S$52) and ¥9,450 (S$117) in Japan.

Expect longer waiting time for the dishes to be served as the eels are prepared from scratch.

According to ladyironchef, the restaurant in Singapore will be named Ichinoji Miyagawa and will offer a different take on the usual unagi dishes. It will be located at Riverside View, Robertson Quay.

Ichinoji Miyagawa Singapore has yet to reveal the date of opening.
