soCash is a mobile app in Singapore that lets you withdraw cash without the need to hunt for an ATM machine. The fintech startup partners with retailers and supermarkets in Singapore and through that, lets you withdraw cash from them instead.
The app allows users to withdraw amounts from $10 to $500 and upon selecting the amount, users will be presented with locations of the shops that they can withdraw money from.
Upon arrival, simply scan the QR code at the cashier and collect the cash. There are no fees or hidden charges for withdrawing cash via the soCash app.
The soCash app, available for both iOS and Android devices, currently works with DBS and POSB banking IDs as well as through DBS PayLah.
Perhaps the best news of all is that the company is giving away free $5 for the first time you withdraw cash with the app.
You can also unlock another $5 free cash after your 4th withdrawal. The $5 earned after the 4th withdrawal will be added to your soCash profile, $1 at a time over the next 5 withdrawals.
