2 Days of Anime Fun!
“The organizers of Anime Festival Asia 2009 (AFA09) are excited to announce the region’s most impressive festival targeting fans of Japanese animation and popular culture. Taking place at Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Halls 403 and 404) from 21st to 22nd November, AFA09 will span over 5,000 sqm of space where highlights confirmed so far include the Akiba Town Marketplace, Anime Blockbusters, Kids Land, Regional Cosplay Championships, Moe Moe Kyun Maid Café, an AFA Exclusive Specialty Shop, and live acts straight from Japan.” – AFA09 press release.
We featured AFA08 a year back and it was a great event not to be missed by anime enthusiasts, do note however that there’s a price increase this year, a whopping $25 for the weekend pass compared to the $8 the previous year, discounts apply to students only.

Update 20th Nov 2009: Media Preview (Animation Asia Conference)
Our team at Great Deals Singapore were invited to the AFA’09 Media Preview and Animation Asia Conference ’09. Held for the first time in Singapore, the conference speakers featured experts and professionals from the anime industry. We could only describe the conference in 3 words: Organized, informative and relevant!
