Xiaomi announced today that their most powerful flagship Mi 3 Android smartphone is now selling at S$339, lower by S$80 from the previous price of $419. The Mi 3 is also available on sale now and there isn’t a limited quantity specified so it might be true that Xiaomi Singapore have already stocked up quite sufficiently to meet demands here.
The price cut however is generating some unhappiness from fans who bought the phone few weeks earlier on Xiaomi’s 4th anniversary sale. Most are asking for rebates from their Facebook page with the introduction of the price cut today, however Xiaomi Singapore has yet to respond to the feedbacks. Smartphone manufacturers are under the competitive pressure of coming up with better and more affordable smartphones, especially after all the attention OnePlus has garnered lately.
