British Pathé Uploads Videos Of Historical Singapore On YouTube Channel

British Pathé collects and produce newsreels, cinemagazines, and documentaries around the world from 1910 until 1970. They also digitise their content online and in an unexpected discovery we can now view some of the rare historical videos of Singapore events on their YouTube channel.

A quick search on the string “Singapore” on their channel reveals dozens of videos with interesting titles such as “Prices rocket in Singapore”, “Fire walkers in Hindu Native Parade at Singapore”, “Japanese Raid on Singapore”, “Views of Singapore” and many more with quite a number of the videos belonging to the World War II period.
