Despite all the bad news surrounding the world’s biggest car-sharing app, Uber Singapore today announced that they will be adding a Supercar option to the app here locally. Yes, you guess it.
Starting from tomorrow 21 March, you will be able to request a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder or Maserati GranTurismo Coupe to come pick you up. Even better news, this weekend the pickups from these supercars are absolutely free (sponsored by Dream Drive), except they are limited to 15 minute slots.
Which is still by far, awesome enough since we wonder the chances of owning one of these half-a-million-dollar steeds and since 15 minutes is probably enough to get to most destinations in Singapore.
After the free ride days, you still will be able to request Supercar (if they ever happen to turn up on your Uber app) but lo and behold the base fare starts at $200 for the Lamborghini and $165 for the Maserati, with additional $7 per minute while you are on the ride.
