If you frequently use the public transport or more particularly MRT for your daily commute, now you can save some bandwidth on your mobile plan by switching to the free Wi-Fi available at 33 MRT stations brought to you by Wireless@SG.
The free Wi-Fi trial started back in August last year and this week marks the final five stations added to the initiative – Buangkok, Kovan, Little India, Paya Lebar and Potong Pasir. According to Wireless@SG, there has been an estimated 700,000 logins to the service each day, 4 times increment since its launch.
LTA plans to expand the free Wi-Fi service to all MRT, LRT and 30 bus interchanges and terminals by year 2020. You can conveniently get connected automatically to the Wireless@SG through their app on App Store or Google Play with a local SIM card without registration or username and password.
