This isn’t your regular fast-food fix but if you are looking for a decent burger in town, here’s a new joint in town that hails from the burger city of the world, New York City.
Only walk-ins and no reservations required, Burger Joint SG is located along Amoy Street but you do have to make a detour to Gemmill Lane to find its entrance. No details are left untouched in re-creating New York’s most loved burgers here in Singapore, these anti-gourmet burgers are as good as it gets.
The Burger Joint started in 2002 when owner Steven Pipes went around New York tasting burgers and then finally setting up his own underground burger restaurant in a location hidden behind the curtain in the atrium lobby of Le Parker Meridien Hotel.
Burger Joint SG burgers are priced between $13.10 for an entry-level Hamburger to a whopping $27.40 for a Double Bacon Cheeseburger. Sides such as fries and milkshakes are sold separately.
