After replacing the existing Playstation 4 (PS4) with a slimmer and lighter version, which is available now, Sony has also announced a new Pro version coming in November later this year.
The new Playstation 4 Pro is basically a beefed up model with more powerful CPU and graphics processor. It is also capable of supporting games in 4K resolution, enhanced visuals and framerate as well as HDR 10 support.
Sony, however, has said that most games for the Pro version will have their resolution dynamically upscaled instead of native rendering, which means it isn’t true 4k but according to reports, it’s up to 90% close.
Game titles which have their gameplay enhanced will come with a PS4 Pro Enhanced icon on the package. The new PS4 Pro is expected to release on 10 November 2016. The 1TB model will be priced at US$399 (~S$543) and comes with a single controller.
