Artist impression of Lightsaber Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay
Fan of the movie franchise Star Wars? You probably already know that May the 4th is part of the global festival to mark the 40th anniversary since the release of the Star Wars: A New Hope film.
A 3-day extravaganza “Star Wars Day: May the 4th be with you” will take place at the Gardens by the Bay this weekend 4 – 6 May 2017 (Thursday to Saturday). Apart from catching Star Wars-themed highlights and activities, the Supertrees at the Supertree Grove will transform to glow like lightsabers – the weapons of Jedi and Sith warriors.
The lightsaber light-up will be happening from 8pm to midnight during the 3-day event. There will also be special appearances by Chewbacca and Kylo Ren as well as Star Wars AT-ST Walker standing guard at the Supertree Grove.
