Buy Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook Air gaming laptop with Intel 8th-Gen processor for only $1,008 this weekend

Core i5 with GeForce MX150

The new Mi Notebook Air gaming laptop (13.3-inch)

Besides affordable smartphones, Xiaomi also makes laptops and they are pretty good at it too.

Their latest Mi Notebook Air is powered by Intel’s 8th-Gen processors and for a little over a $1,000, you can pick up a variant with Intel Core i5-8250u processor, dedicated GeForce MX150, 8GB memory and 256GB SSD storage.

Other features include a 13.3-inch Full-HD display, fingerprint scanner, Intel 2×2 Fast WiFi with 802.11ac support, AKG speakers, USB-C port and weighs only 1.3kg.

In China, the same laptop retails for ¥5,399 (~S$1,075) but you can pick one up from Qoo10 marketplace now at only $1,008 after applying the $120 weekend discount coupon (collect here) and the shop’s $1 coupon.

It also comes with free shipping and 3 months warranty from the seller. What’s more, you can pay using Qoo10’s 0% instalment for up to 6 months with DBS credit cards.

That’s just $168 per month if you don’t feel like forking out that much at one go.

We’ve got it figured out!

When compared to Apple MacBooks, there isn’t even one model that can match the hardware specs of the new Mi Notebook Air. The closest we found – MacBook Pro with Intel 8th-Gen processor and a weaker Iris Plus Graphics 655 comes with a hefty S$2,588 price tag. Ouch.

Unless you absolutely must use macOS, the Mi Notebook Air is clearly a steal at this price.
