Singapore’s newest and seventh nature park opens today.
Named the Thomson Nature Park, the 50-hectare buffer park features 5 trails that span over 3.8km.
It is also home to a rich array of biodiversity including Sunda Pangolin, Malayan Porcupine and the critically endangered Raffles’ Banded Langur, an Old World monkey.
Kampung Routes
Besides the extensive forest area and rich wildlife along the trails, the park is also the site of a former Hainan Village.
Visitors can follow 3 specially curated walking trails and spot the remnants of kampung life that can still be found there.
Guided Walks by NParks
NParks will also be holding guided walks at the new Nature Park where you can learn more about it during these periods:
Dates: 19 and 26 October 2019
Time: 9.30am – 11.30am
You can find more information from the official site here.
There’s also a map of the park with the trails highlighted.
