Beaches at St John’s, Lazarus & Kusu Island reopen from Jun 19 so we can have mini-getaways

Island-hopping around Singapore

Beaches on islands around Singapore to reopen in Phase 2

Phase 2 is upon us from Friday (19 June) onwards and island-hopping just might be one of the ways for a quick getaway out of Singapore.

Reopening of Playfields and Beaches

According to the details revealed in Phase 2, recreational spaces such as playfields will be open to the public for residents and visitors to engage in sports and outdoor activities.

Beaches at St John’s, Lazarus and Kusu Island will also be reopened according to Singapore Land Authority (SLA).

Which means you can enjoy beach activities on these islands other than East/West Coast or Sentosa which are normally more crowded during the weekends.

Here’s a peek at the islands which seems to be rather deserted during the Circuit Breaker period.

Plus, the waters are definitely a little clearer than before.

Mini getaway confirmed.

Safe distancing

The COVID-19 virus outbreak, however, is still far from over so please don’t let your guard down and maintain safe distancing measures even at the beaches. There’s also a group limit of not more than five persons to keep in mind.
