Telegram now supports video calls

Want to get in touch with friends and family during this pandemic? Now you’ve another messaging app that supports video calls.

Telegram Video Calls

Cloud-based messaging app Telegram has just announced the new video call feature, allowing users to quickly switching video calls on and off during voice calls.

According to Telegram, all video calls are protected with end-to-end encryption similar to their secret chats and calls. Four emoji that’s shown on the screen lets you verify that your connection is secure.

Here’s a quick video showing how it works.

Cool.

There’s also a picture-in-picture mode that lets you minimize your video calls so you can continue to send messages on Telegram.

More animated emojis

Besides the new video calls, Telegram has also added more animated emojis to celebrate their 7th birthday.

To get them in the chat, simply send a message with a single emoji.
