Likely high refresh rate panel

Xiaomi launching 2nd gen of OLED TVs on 10 August in China

Gaming fans who are looking to upgrade their TV to the latest model to support a higher refresh rate might want to hold on to that thought for a while more.

Xiaomi new OLED TVs

Popular China smartphone and household appliance maker Xiaomi has just announced they will be launching their latest series of OLED TVs.

The launch event will be happening on 10 August in China.

It will be their second generation of OLED TVs and one of the teasers reveals they will be supporting Nvidia G-Sync adaptive sync technology which presumably means the new panels will support a high refresh rate.

There’s also speculation Xiaomi new OLED TVs will come with HDMI 2.1 ports which will enable 120 frames per second support on the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series S|X.

There’s no indication of the pricing or the number of models that will be released yet but will likely be available on launch day.

The new series of OLED TV will be replacing Xiaomi first flagship OLED TV – Mi TV Lux 65″ OLED.

The Mi TV Lux was introduced back in July last year and features 98.5% of DCI-P3 color space, true 10-bit colour, variable refresh rate up to 120Hz and HDMI 2.1 standard output.

We should also be seeing sellers from online marketplaces in Singapore bringing in the new OLED TVs soon.
