Long John Silver’s serving Japanese Donburi Rice Dishes you probably didn’t know about

Has onsen egg, seaweed and crumblies too

Have you tried Long John Silver’s latest Japanese Donburi dishes?

Long John Silver’s has new dishes you will want to try if rice is the only thing that fills your tummy.

Japanese Donburi Dishes

Calling it the ‘Taste of Japan’, Long John Silver’s Singapore has recently launched new Donburi rice dishes on the menu inspired by the popular quick and easy one-bowl staple enjoyed by many in Japan.

There are two fish options to choose from:

  • Teriyaki Saba Donburi
  • Teriyaki Salmon Donburi

The Teriyaki Saba Donburi is priced at $8.20 while the Teriyaki Salmon Donburi at $8.90 per set meal that comes with a drink (Coke, Coke Zero Sugar or Sprite).

Lots of ingredients

According to the restaurant, customers can choose from grilled salmon or 6pc battered mackerel served on rice, with onsen egg, shredded nori seaweed, shibazuke (sour pickles), chopped spring onion and of course, not forgetting the all-time favourite crumblies.

Here’s how the dishes look like IRL from diners who have tried them.

Not bad.

This isn’t the first time Long John Silver’s has introduced rice dishes. Earlier this year, there’s the Hot chicken and Fiery Fish Jambalaya inspired by the classic New Orleans dish.

There were also Thai-style Tomyum and Green Curry rice dishes with Thai Milk Tea back in late 2020.

Hope Long John Silver’s Singapore continues to introduce more unique rice dishes.

The Japanese Donburi dishes are likely available for a limited time only so drop by soon if you wish to try them.
