Little Thailand to resurface in Aperia Mall after the new Thai Supermarket spotted opening soon?
Turns out the famous Thai Supermarket is not going away despite Golden Mile Complex’s upcoming redevelopment after its en bloc sale last year.
This also means there’s still hope for Little Thailand in Singapore.
Likely opening in Aperia Mall
According to Thai Supermarket’s social media posts, they will be moving out of Golden Mile Complex sometime in April this year and has also uploaded some computer renders of their new store.
They have yet to officially announce the actual location although Mothership found a notice from units located on the ground level in Aperia Mall that states the new tenant is Thai Supermarket Pte Ltd, the same company managing the official Thai Supermarket online store.
According to the report, there are a number of units being cordoned off which also points to the likelihood a supermarket taking over.
For those not familiar with Aperia Mall, it is located in Kallang (short walk from Lavender or Bendemeer MRT) are currently owned by Capitaland Ascendas REIT after an acquisition back in 2014.
Stores in the mall include Blanco Court Beef Noodle, Cold Storage, McDonald’s, Nature Café, Saizeriya, Tim Ho Wan, Ya Kun Kaya Toast and more.
To attract more shoppers to the mall, there’s 3-hour free parking on weekends and public holidays and from 6.30pm – 10pm on weekdays.
