Remember the nasi lemak in a puff? It’s coming back to Old Chang Kee outlets this March.

This year’s relaunch of the Nasi Lemak Chicken’O will happen on 1 March and will be made available at all outlets.
After numerous feedback from customers, Old Chang Kee decided to revert to the original first version of the recipe that has egg, chicken, peanut, ikan bilis and sambal chilli fillings encased ina green-coloured pandan flavoured epok epok crispy skin.

This also means the Nasi Lemak Chicken O’ will no longer contain any rice, likely because it’s harder to consume properly and perhaps the inclusion of rice reduces the key ingredients that resulted in the rich flavour in the first version.
The relaunched puff will also be part of the Ramadan Iftar Specials this year for Muslim friends to break their fast with family and friends.
It will be priced at $2.20 per piece and $4 for 2 pieces, easily recognisable in green.
According to Old Chang Kee, the Nasi Lemak Chicken’O will remain available till further notice, while stocks last for the day. Customers can also order it via food delivery platforms GrabFood, Deliveroo and Foodpanda.
