IKEA offers free LED light bulb in exchange for your old incandescent ones

Only a maximum of 3 bulbs per person


In a bid to raise awareness on the importance of lights in refugee camps worldwide, IKEA Singapore has just announced on their Facebook page  that they are giving away free LED light bulbs in exchange for your traditional or incandescent light bulbs starting today till this Sunday, 8 February 2015.

IKEA did not specifically state which model of light bulbs or what traditional means but if you have a few incandescent ones lying around in the house, here’s a good chance to turn them into actual usable lights and of course at the same time save some dollars off your bills since LED lights are proven to more energy efficient.

Each person can only exchange a maximum of 3 bulbs and limited to the first 1,000 bulbs per store per day.
