In commemorating SG50, MOE has collaborated with LEGO Education and came up with a customized LEGO set titled Building My SG – Reflect, Celebrate, Inspire. The SG50 LEGO set, according to Channel 8 News (report in Chinese), were to be given out to every school children but apparently not all students had received it according to the feedback given on MOE’s Facebook page.
The SG50 set seems to collect 3 iconic architectures of Singapore – Sentosa foot-bridge, Changi Airport and Gardens by the Bay. However, it is said that only one architecture can be constructed at any one time based on the number of pieces provided.
Some students have also taken the exclusive SG50 LEGO set to popular online mobile marketplace such as the Carousell app and has since attracted a lot of interests and bids, some as high as $180.
MOE has yet to comment on the report or reply to the feedback from the public.
