Bookaburra children’s bookstore announces closure with storewide sale

Online shopping is bad news for bookstores

After Borders Singapore closure back in 2011, it has become clear that conventional bookstores are struggling to survive high rentals and diminishing customers as shoppers turn to major online bookstores for convenience and better prices. Bookaburra is a local bookstore that specialises in children’s book and the latest shop that will be winding up this end May.

When it’s bad news for business, it often means good news for shoppers. Bookaburra is currently holding a closing down sale with 40% off storewide books if you pay by cash, and 35% if you choose NETS or credit card payments. You will also find selected titles at a very attractive 3 for $10 price.

Located at the second level in Forum The Shopping Mall, Bookaburra’s last day of operation is set on next Wednesday, 27 May 2015.
