Come 30 & 31 July later this month, this is a food festival you won’t want to miss, especially if you are a foodie and lover of local dishes.
Bringing back the good old days of the 1950s, the 50 cents Festival is hosted by Chinatown Food Street, bringing you some of the most iconic traditional street foods in Singapore going back in history. As a matter of fact, over 30 of these local delights will be selling at just 50c each!
Chinatown Food Street has provided us with a list of the food items that will be making their appearance at the festival which includes Char Kway Teow, UFO Fried Oyster Cake, Kok Kok Mee, Sweet and Rickshaw Noodles, Ice Ball, Chicken Rice Balls, Rojak, Mee Teh and much more.
Apart from the ultra-affordable street food, there will also be kampong-style fringe activities such as outdoor black/white movie screenings, performances by opera singers and martial artists as well as old school street buskers selling calligraphy, fortune-telling, and letter-writing services.
50c Festival will kick off at 3pm to 11pm on 30 July and from 11am to 11pm on 31 July (Saturday and Sunday).Learn more from Chinatown Food Street
