You should watch J.K. Rowling ‘Fantastic Beasts’ even if you’re no Harry Potter fan

Not your average Pokemon hunt

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a new film based on the Harry Potter universe written by acclaimed British author J.K. Rowling.

You won’t find Harry Potter and his friends in this movie. Instead, the story is based around Newt Scamander being the main character, the fictitious author who wrote the textbook of the same name describing his study on 85 magical species found around the world.

The upcoming film details Newt’s adventures among New York City’s secret community of wizards and witches, 70 years before Harry’s story.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in theaters here on 17 November.
