New details on the Mandai Park Project revealed by developer

More has been revealed on the ambitious Mandai Park Project as the developer Mandai Park Holdings (MPH) aims to rejuvenate the area into a bigger and better zoo.

The Mandai area will transform into an eco-tourism hub which will see the relocation of Jurong Bird Park and a new Rainforest Park. The hub will also feature wildlife and nature across the globe including bird species from Africa, Papua New Guinea and Australia.

A new Penguin Tank will be installed in the new Bird Park where visitors will experience sub-Antartic penguins flying through the waters.

Rainforest Park

Visitors will be greeted by waterfall caverns from the west arrival node before entering the Rainforest Park featuring a barrage of trees of Southeast-Asian foliage, a zoo-in-the-air aerial walkway as well as boardwalk trails and wetlands of South & Central America within the park.

The Rainforest Park is expected to be ready by end 2021 while the new bird park by 2020.
