PayNow now lets you transfer money to any local bank account with just a mobile number

No more forgetting account numbers

PayNow – Transfer money to any bank using mobile number or NRIC.

Gone are the days you need to remember bank account numbers when you need to transfer money to your friends or family members.

That’s because, with the introduction of PayNow service, you simply need to know the mobile number (or NRIC) of the party you are transferring funds to.

Not to be confused with DBS PayLah or Singtel Dash, PayNow isn’t a mobile app. It is simply the name of the peer-to-peer fund transfer service via a mobile number. The service transfer funds through FAST, which means the sending and receiving process is almost instant.

The service is now available from seven participating local banks namely Citibank Singapore Limited, DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and United Overseas Bank.

To use PayNow, users can register for the service through internet banking or via the bank’s mobile app.
