After opening several stores across Thailand and now in Singapore, April’s Bakery specialises in Thai-style pastries that look like the popular Cantonese pies, Lao Po Bing (老婆饼).
Founded by Thai owner Nathanaporn Euawanthanakhun, the concept of these pastries came about after trying roast pork pies in Hong Kong. Best-selling flavours include Thai Milk Tea, Taro, Custard, Coconut, Pumpkin, Swee Egg Floss, Red Bean, Purple Sweet Potato and a Singapore-exclusive Tokyo Banana Pie.

With several outlets in Bangkok, @aprilbakerysg that specializes in sweet and savory pies has recently land into the heartlands of Tampines in Singapore. Its $2 each and overall decent, some were above average while some fell short. Can't expect much but Taro has got to be my pick – just like orh nee. 👌🏼
The pies are priced at $2 each. April’s Bakery can be found at Tampines MRT Station and One Raffles Place.
