Tampines will soon be transformed into a walking and cycling town as Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has just announced today that they will be enhancing the infrastructure around the neighbourhood.

The 5-year transformation plan which is scheduled to complete by 2022 will triple the existing 6.9km cycling path network in Tampines town to about 21km, connecting three MRT stations to homes, schools and key amenities including our Tampines Hub and food centres.

Among the plans, LTA will be studying the feasibility of building a cycling bridge over the Tampines Expressway (TPE) to connect Pasir Ris and Tampines towns as well as a cycling underpass to link Tampines and Simei.
