Last chance for Sanrio fans as Hello Kitty Cafe closes down for good in February 2019

All good things must come to an end

Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe closing down for good

Come February next year, Hello Kitty Cafe at Changi Airport will be a thing in the past.

That’s because the current owner ABR Holdings Limited, which also operates Swensen’s restaurant chain in Singapore, will be ending their partnership with Sanrio when their license expires next year.

Sadly, this means fans will only be able to enjoy the kitty-themed cafe for another few months more at most.

Before they say goodbye, the cafe will be throwing a farewell party ($138 for 2) which will include:

  • 1 table (2 pax)
  • A spread of yummy canapes (these are not usually available on the menu!)
  • 2 x single scoop gelato
  • 2 x choice of Kitty Coolers / Latte / Mocha
  • 2 x bottled water
  • 2 x limited edition Orchids For You figurines (worth $98)
  • 2 x exclusive thank-you cards autographed by Hello Kitty herself (you’ll not be able to get these elsewhere!)

There will also be a lucky draw where diners stand to win a piece of Hello Kitty Orchid Garden home such as the Hello Kitty dining table set.

You can purchase the tickets to the farewell party from Peatix here.

Sayonara (for now), Hello Kitty-themed food.
