A new public library will soon open at Vivocity end of this year.

This is in line with the relocation of 36-year-old Bukit Merah Public Library at Bukit Merah Central, which will be closed for good soon.

The new library will take over the space Daiso had left at level 3 of the mall, next to the Sky Park, a popular rooftop garden and water playground where families and friends gather.

Daiso Vivocity closing announcement came earlier in February this year to make way for the library’s relocation.

The closing of Bukit Merah Library will also mean that residents including seniors and students in Bukit Merah will have travel a longer distance to reach the new library at Vivocity.

After the relocation, residents can continue to enjoy convenient access to reading resources and services at various touchpoints in schools, Community Clubs and Senior Activity Centres.

NLB is also working with community partners to set up the touchpoints.
