Earth Day is upon us today and Starbucks clearly wants to reduce plastic waste in its latest effort in encouraging customers to bring their own cups.
Which is why the popular coffee place is now selling Reusable Cups.
They look just like the usual takeaway cups except they are made of thicker and much more durable plastic instead of paper or flimsy materials.
You can pick up the white-coloured Reusable Hot Cup for $3.90 or the Reusable Cold Cup with reusable straw for a dollar more at $4.90, available when you buy any drink at Starbucks stores. They both can contain liquids up to 16 ounces.
Additionally, you also get a $0.50 discount on your favourite beverage every time you bring them along.
Alternatively, there’s also the Starbucks x stojo Collapsible Cups if you still can find them. They fold down to 5cm tall and can be stored away in your bag easily.
Finally, don’t forget to check out Starbucks latest creations while you are there too.
