HDB launches over 3,300 BTO units in Punggol & Tampines, right after $80k grant for first-timers announced

Good news if you have been planning to get a new BTO flat.

HDB has just announced 3 new Build-to-Order (BTO) projects that offer a total of 3,373 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4-, and 5-room flats in Punggol and Tampines estates.

Apply by 17 September

Interested buyers can submit their application online from now till 17 September 2019, Tuesday, 11.59pm. Successful applicants will be determined by a computer ballot system and not by first-come first-served basis.

Here’s a quick look at the new projects.

Punggol Point Cove

Located along the eastern shoreline of Punggol Point District, Punggol Point Cove will be sited along New Punggol Road. This development will comprise 6 residential blocks with staggered heights from 8 to 26 storeys, which will make seafront views available to some of the units.

You can choose from 1,179 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4-, and 5-room flats.

Punggol Point Crown

Bounded by New Punggol Road, Northshore Drive, and a proposed Heritage Trail by NParks, Punggol Point Crown will comprise 9 residential blocks ranging from 6 to 26 storeys. The development’s name is inspired by the crowns of existing trees along the adjacent Heritage Trail, as well as the development’s landscape.

You can choose from 1,545 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4-, and 5-room flats.

Tampines GreenGlen

At Tampines GreenGlen, you will be close to Sungei Api Api and next to a proposed park. Tampines GreenGlen will be bounded by Tampines North Drive 1 and Tampines Street 64.

You can choose from 649 units of 4- and 5-room flats.

First-Timers New Grants

Things are even more exciting for first-time HDB applicants.

Just yesterday, HDB announced new measures to support first-timers buying new and resales flats which includes:

• Income ceilings will be raised to $14,000 for families and $7,000 for singles
• A new Enhanced CPF Housing Grant (EHG) up to $80,000 will replace the existing Additional and Special CPF Housing Grants (AHG and SHG)
• Eligible first-timers can benefit from the EHG when buying new or resale flats, regardless of flat type and location
