Apple’s new 16-inch MacBook Pro now available in S’pore

Need a laptop with a bigger screen? You might want to consider investing in the new MacBook Pro 16-inch model.

Available now on Apple Singapore online and in stores, it is the company’s largest laptop with a 16-inch Retina Display that has a 3072 x 1920 native resolution with support for millions of colours and True Tone technology.

Some new things

The new 16-inch MacBook Pro is meant to replace the earlier 15-inch and it will also feature a new keyboard. According to Marques, the new Magic keyboard (as Apple calls it) is actually designed based on the earlier scissors mechanism since there has been a lot of issues report on the newer butterfly one.

Other improvements include a new 100-watt-hour battery that delivers up to 11 hours of usage which also meets airline limits, a new cooling layout that reportedly fixes thermal throttling issues, new speakers & a studio-quality mic, and storage configurations up to a whopping 8TB SSD.

Prices

The new Macbook Pro 16-inch starts at S$3,499 which comes with a 6-core 9th gen Intel i7 processor, AMD Radeon Pro 5300M integrated graphics, 512GB SSD and 16GB of memory.

Customers can also configure the laptop with beefier specs up to an 8-core i9 processor, 64GB of memory, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 8GB GDDR6 memory, 8TB SSD storage which will cost a whopping S$8,619.
