Calling all Doraemon fans in Singapore, M Malls will be ushering the year of the Rat with Doraemon-themed merchandise and activities at AMK Hub and Jurong Point in January 2020.
Although ironically Doraemon most feared critter is a mouse ever since his ears were originally bitten off by a robot mouse, which shares the same rodent family with rats.
CNY Doraemon EZ-Charm
Perhaps one of the most anticipated merchandise that will have fans flocking to the malls is the CNY-themed Doraemon EZ-Charm.
The exclusive charm will be released on 3 January (Fri) at both malls and will cost $16.90 each.
So cute.
It also comes with an auspicious CNY slogan 招财 which means to welcome wealth in Chinese, sharing similarities with Japan’s fortune cat Maneki-neko.
Perhaps the best news is that no minimum spending is required, simply drop by the customer service counter at AMK Hub or Jurong Point to purchase it, limited to 5 charms per shopper per day.
While stocks last so mark your calendars.
Doraemon Snack Container & Red Packets
Besides the adorable charm, shoppers will also be able to redeem limited edition Doraemon Red Packets and Snack Containers with minimum spending.
Here’s the breakdown:
- Doraemon Red Packets (6pcs) – $80 min. spending ($120 at FairPrice supermarket)
- Doraemon Snack Containers – $180 min. spending ($270 at FairPrice supermarket)
The red packet will have 3 designs while the containers have 2.
Similarly, they will be available from 3 January onwards, while stocks last.
