Floating Orb in Marina Bay Sands could be Apple’s latest flagship store in S’pore set to open this year

Apple SG now hiring retail positions

Could this be Apple Singapore’s third store?

Apple is reportedly adding a new store to Singapore and it will likely open this year.

A floating orb has been spotted near Marina Bay Sands area and there has been speculation that the spherical dome structure will be Apple Singapore latest store here.

There have been photos of it undergoing construction as early as April last year.

It looks like there will be at least 4 – 5 levels in the new store.

There are also reports that it will be linked to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands via an underground passage.

Cool.

As secretive as ever

Nothing has been officially announced yet, given Apple’s secretive nature when it comes to new product and store launches.

However, there has been a couple of leaks and hints of its opening such as this artist impression of the store picked up by Google search and uploaded to a local forum.

The caption provided by Sterling C&S Consulting Engineer clearly indicates Apple Store in Marina Bay Sands, which also points to their involvement in the construction.

Now hiring

Apple Singapore has also recently updated its career page with new retail positions including Genius Bar jobs, Business & Operations experts and more.

Apple currently has two stores in Singapore located at the heart of Orchard Road and one in the new Jewel Changi Airport mall.
