Here’s everything that’s announced in the Apple Spring Loaded Event

A few new things have popped up in Apple’s latest Spring Loaded event including a new iMac with a variety of colours, iPad Pro and AirTag that lets you find stuff you easily misplace.

Here’s a breakdown of the products that were introduced.

iMac (24-inch)

The new iMac is now crazy thin thanks to the new M1 chip in it, measuring at just 11.5mm thick. It is the most compact iMac Apple has ever built which also comes with a 4.5K 24-inch Retina display.

Other features include a magnetic power connector, 1080p front-facing camera, studio-quality microphone, six-speaker sound system and comes with a new Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for selected models.

There are 7 colours to choose from – Blue, Green, Pink, Silver, Yellow, Orange, and Purple.

Priced from S$1,849, the new iMac will be available for order on Apple Store Singapore from 30 April and will be shipped in the second half of May.

iPad Pro (with M1 chip)

The new iPad Pro tablets will now come with the same M1 processor found in the Mac Mini and MacBooks, with the larger 12.9-inch model featuring a new Liquid Retina XDR display.

It will also come equipped with a new ultra-wide front-facing camera with Centre Stage feature that automatically detects participants and their movements. There’s also support for 5G network and Wi-Fi 6.

The 11-inch iPad Pro will be priced from S$1,199 while the larger 12.9-inch model from $1,649. They will also be available for order from 30 April onwards.

Apple AirTag

An entirely new product from Apple, the new AirTag lets Apple users track and find their belongings.

AirTag comes with a built-in speaker and will play a sound when you ping it from Apple’s Find My app. It will also show you how near your AirTag is and points you the correct direction with Precision Finding which uses Ultra-Wideband technology.

Perhaps the best news is users can replace the battery (CR2032) themselves when it runs out of juice.

Precision Finding, however, is limited to iPhone 11 and 12 series.

Customers will also be able to further personalise their AirTags with custom text or emoji engraving, as well as accessorizing it with colour key rings and loops.

It is priced at S$45 for a 1-pack and S$149 for a 4-pack, available for order from 23 April onwards.

Apple TV 4K (2021)

For Apple fans looking for more entertainment options, the new Apple TV 4K gets an upgrade. It now comes with a new A12 Bionic processor with support for Dolby Vision, High Frame Rate HDR and even has a TV calibrating feature simply by using your iPhone.

There’s also a new remote with a touch-enabled clickpad that allow users to fast-forward or rewind using circular gesture on the outer ring.

It is priced at S$269 for the 32GB model and S$299 for the 64GB, also available from 30 April onwards on Apple Store Singapore.
