Apple HomePod series finally arrives in Singapore after a long wait

Almost a year later, the evasive HomePod series is finally coming to Singapore.

Pre-order Available Now

Apple has just announced that the all-new HomePod (2nd Generation) and the HomePod Mini are now available for pre-order from the official Apple Store in Singapore. However, do note that shipping will only happen from 6 April onwards.

The HomePod Mini is priced at $139 while the recently-launched larger HomePod will come with a $429 price tag. Customers can also add $59 for AppleCare+ with an extended warranty and unlimited repairs for accidental damage protection.

What’s new?

The relaunched HomePod offers immersive, high-fidelity sound and according to reviews, it processes audio better and distributes it evenly throughout the room. It also supports Spatial Audio with compatible content and apps.

It is powered by an S7 Apple Silicon chip similar to the Apple Watch Series 7. Other features include a built-in Siri voice assistant, a smart hub to connect and control devices at home and seamless operation with Apple devices.

Apple fans, especially if you have an Apple TV device, can also add another to create a stereo pair or use it as a home theatre audio setup and according to this detailed review from Digital Trend, it sounds exceptional although there are some limitations.

There are two colours to choose from to match your style and home interior: Midnight and White.
