Beni Hoppe Strawberries from Japan
That’s right – the seasonal Benihoppe Strawberry Fair is back again at the Japanese patisserie chain Chateraise here in Singapore.
For a limited time from now till 30 April, there will be a selection of strawberry-themed sweet delights such as cakes, dessert cups and jelly that are made using special Beni Hoppe strawberries imported from Japan.
For those not familiar with Beni Hoppe (meaning red cheeks), they are a variety of strawberries in Japan that were originally developed in Shizuoka. They have a pleasant fragrance, don’t have holes in them and offer a perfectly balanced sweet and sour taste.
