Here’s a new Scoot sale that takes you to the Land of the Rising Sun from just $199.

For a limited time from now till 1 August, make a flight booking to two Japan destinations from Singapore’s low-cost carrier Scoot and get to enjoy special one-way rates from $199 for Osaka and from $240 for Tokyo.

The promotion is part of a partnership between Scoot and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).

There are also ScootPlus options for both destinations which come with wide, premium leather seats, 30MB Wi-Fi, 30kg luggage, meals and more at prices starting from $480.

Fare prices include the air ticket and associated taxes, which are one-way and for travel originating out of Singapore.

From Kansai (Osaka) International Airport

Treat yourself to a rejuvenating experience at Hyogo Prefecture’s Arima Onsen, one of Japan’s oldest and most renowned hot spring resorts as you soak in the mineral-rich thermal waters to get back that skip in your step. Take a leisurely stroll through the serene surroundings of the Hyogo Park of the Oriental White Stork, a sanctuary for these nationally protected species, and get up close to these majestic birds or witness them in flight during feeding time. From Narita (Tokyo) International Airport

Hop over to Chiba Prefecture, just an hour from Narita Airport, and embark on an exhilarating hike to the dramatic cliffs at the top to find the largest cliff-carved Buddha in Japan as well as to admire views of the Tokyo Bay and Mount Fuji. Nature enthusiasts will be captivated by the stunning rock formations of Nagatoro Valley in Saitama Prefecture just 2 hours from the airport. Go rafting, canoeing, or just float along the river as you admire the gorge’s unique rocks, waterfalls, rivers and beautiful autumn leaves. Art and bonsai enthusiasts will be delighted by the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum as they learn about the history and techniques behind this ancient art form and participate in workshops to try their hand at cultivating these miniature trees.

Up for a longer journey? Head to the floral wonderland of Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture, a 3-hour train ride away, and enjoy a walk or bike ride through the park that is filled with blooming flowers that change colour with the seasons. Hikers can take their pick from the variety of trails up Mt Tsubuka and be rewarded with panoramic views of surrounding lakes, the Pacific Ocean, and even a glimpse of Tokyo’s skyline in the distance on a clear day.
