
Just after McDonald’s seafood collab, KFC enters the chat with chilli crab chicken and mantou burgers
Just a day after McDonald’s made waves with its JUMBO Seafood collaboration, KFC Singapore has fired back with its own spicy tribute to local flavours.
From 23 July to 2 September 2025, fried chicken lovers can go #MantouMad with KFC’s new Chilli Crab Mantou menu — a bold and playful celebration of Singapore’s iconic national dish, chilli crab.
A Local Classic, Reinvented
The heart of this seasonal menu is a nostalgic homage to the famous chilli crab and mantou pairing — a combination so rooted in local food culture that it predates Singapore’s independence.

KFC’s version keeps the essence but switches up the format, offering juicy fried chicken drenched in a rich, tomato-chilli egg gravy and paired with golden-brown mantou buns.
Say Hello to the Chilli Crab Mantou Zinger
One standout from the lineup is the Chilli Crab Mantou Zinger. Swapping out the usual sesame buns for an extra-large fried mantou, this creation features KFC’s signature Zinger fillet coated with sweet, sour, and spicy chilli crab sauce.
The result? A satisfyingly crunchy bite with a saucy, seafood-flavoured kick that soaks right into the fluffy bun.
Finger-Lickin’ Combos and Dipping Fun
Prefer your chilli crab with a classic touch? The 2-piece Hot & Crispy Chicken option comes with mini mantous and a tub of chilli crab sauce — ideal for dunking, drizzling, or simply devouring however you please.
The set is perfect for those who love playing with their food (and their sauce) and comes with sides like whipped potato and Sjora Mango Peach to complete the meal.
Limited Edition Mantou Crossbody Bag
Riding the National Day fever, KFC is also dropping a quirky accessory to go with the menu — a Mantou Crossbody Bag. Styled to resemble the golden bun itself, complete with a KFC-branded strap and chilli crab charm, the bag is surprisingly roomy and perfect for parades, fireworks, or food runs.
It’s available at a special price of $19.90 (U.P. $24.90) with any Chilli Crab meal purchase, while stocks last.
Back by Popular Demand: Ondeh Ondeh Egg Tart
For dessert, the Ondeh Ondeh Egg Tart makes a sweet comeback. It’s a fragrant endnote to the meal, layered with pandan custard, Gula Melaka, and shredded coconut — a nod to another local favourite.

The Chilli Crab Mantou creations will be available across all KFC outlets islandwide (except Singapore Zoo and Sentosa) for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery via major platforms like GrabFood, FoodPanda, Deliveroo, and KFC Delivery. Note: Sun Plaza, Yew Tee Point, and Tampines Mall outlets will not carry this menu between 20 August and 2 September.
