M1 Pauses iPhone 6 Pre-Order in Potential Breach Reported by Computer Science Student

M1 halted their pre-order page for almost 12 hours after a computer science masters student gain access to customers data in what he describe as a simple and silly mistake by M1 engineers. The man also stated a sophisticated hacker would have been able to download the whole database within hours (via Channelnewsasia).

The issue has since been rectified by M1 and their spokesperson has mentioned that no action will be taken against the student since he took the time to inform them of the issue. M1 has also stated on their pre-order page that the first batch of the iPhone 6 Plus smartphones has been fully booked, only iPhone 6 is available for pre-orders now.
