Gardens by the Bay is set to host a Sakura Matsuri (which means cherry blossom festival in Japanese) event this March but is keeping mum about the details.
Except for a few things…
A quick look at their Calendar of Events describes a display of Japan’s cherry blossoms which could be held in the Flower Dome similar to past years.
What’s more, an anime-filled weekend is scheduled to be held on 17 & 18 March, transforming the Supertree Gove into an Anime Garden featuring themed activities including Anisong concerts, celebrity cosplayer appearances and a Pikachu Parade!
Gardens by the Bay have yet to reveal details about the Pikachu Parade, but here’s how it looks like in Japan.
Sakura Japan Fair
Gardens by the Bay has also partnered up with JTB Singapore to host a Sakura Japan Fair during the last week of the cherry blossom display.
There will be food and beverage booths featuring Japan-inspired treats including ramen, onigiri riceballs, soft-serve ice cream and more. Visitors can also expect to find weekend performances, exciting workshops and retail options at the fair.
Admission to the fair is free, except on weekends where admission charge to the Flower Dome applies. Find out more about the Sakura Japan Fair here.
