Famous ‘Go-Ang’ Chicken Rice from Pratunam Bangkok is opening an outlet at Nex shopping mall

Confirm must go try

Go-Ang Kaomunkai Pratunam comes to Singapore this month

For Bangkok lovers frequently making a quick getaway to the city, you probably would have tried the popular Thai-style Hainanese Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice.

There’s no need to make a trip down anymore if you are craving for it because the famous chicken rice business from Thailand is opening their first ever restaurant overseas here in Singapore.

Haven’t tried it before? It looks and taste similar to the Hainanese Chicken Rice here in Singapore. Here are some photos of the real thing.

( Since 1960) The best Chicken Rice only for 40 baht ! ? I queued for about 15 minutes or so, joined by largely Japanese and Singaporean tourists. (Even if you arrive early, the place can get packed so be ready to wait for a table.) After having a plate, I understand why Singaporeans would queue for a dish they could easily get at home The rice was flavourful, fluffy, and not too oily. To impart flavour and aroma to the rice, the grains were cooked in chicken broth and chicken fat. Yums.

One of the Michelin Guide 2018-recommended Khao Man Gai (Hainanese Chicken Rice) spots, i braved the rain to queue here for 45 minutes at 5.30pm ?‍♂️ but immediately felt cheated after my first mouthful. The rice was decent enough, but the chicken was dry (this was the "premium" option already) and the dipping sauce was lacklustre… ? ?: Go Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice ?: 80 THB (HK$19) ?: Michelin Guide 2018 Bib Gourmand ?: Poonam Market, 960-962, Phetchaburi Road, Soi 30, Pratunam, Bangkok, Thailand ?? . . . . . . . . . . #ryanfeasts #ryanfat #TourDeRyan #ryanfeastsBKK #eeeeeats #eats #nom #nomnom #nomnomnom #noms #foodstagram #topbangkokrestaurants #topcitybites #ryanfeastscheaply #chinatownbkk #goangchickenrice #goangpratunamchickenrice #chickenrice #khaomangai #kaomangai #hainanesechickenrice . . . . . @kwokyungyung nope not because it's chicken breast ?

Brought in by the people behind Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe and ThaiExpress, Go-Ang’s Chicken Rice restaurant will open their doors in Serangoon’s Nex shopping mall later this month on 20 October (Saturday).

To ensure the taste stays the same as his stalls in Bangkok, Go-Ang’s Thai founder will be training the staff in Singapore and assist in the opening.

Go-Ang Chicken Rice will be located at #B1-05/06 in Nex.
