Casio G-Shock MRG-2000GA Gassan

This G-Shock is the closest you will get if you are looking for samurai watch.

Released at Baselworld 2019, the biggest watch festival in Switzerland, the MRG-2000GA is beautifully crafted timepiece in collaboration with Sadanobu Gassan from the Gassan family, a group of swordsmiths renowned for their 800-year swordmaking tradition in Nara, Japan.

Only 300 of them are made and luckily for (some) of us, Casio G-Shock Singapore says they are will be bringing it in.

However, the company did not reveal any date or quantity that will be available. Elsewhere in the states, the watch will retail at a whopping US$7,400 (~S$9,984) and will be available in July later this year.

Features of the limited edition G-Shock model should be similar to Casio’s MR-G series which comes with sapphire glass, titanium band, 200-metre water resistance, Bluetooth link to app, solar-powered timekeeping and GPS time calibration.
