S’pore Facebook page turns MINDEF animated series into a Japanese anime by editing it with Naruto’s opening song

Looks more interesting now

Singapore National Service anime? Close enough.

Earlier this month, MINDEF’s magazine Pioneer released an animated series titled Every Singaporean Son.

It is the first-ever animated series on National Service in Singapore and follows the story of 4 enlistees and their adventures during Basic Military Training (BMT) in Tekong island.

Every Singaporean Son – The Animated Series

Anime Edit

Local satire Facebook page Memedef couldn’t contain their excitement and went on to create a Jap-style anime edit opening intro on the series.

You can watch it below or from their Instagram post here.

Epic.

For those who are wondering, the video is edited with popular manga & anime hit Naruto Shippuden’s opening intro “Silhouette” performed by Kana-Boon along with random Japanese subtitles which we are not sure if they even make sense or not.

Nevertheless, Pioneer mag thinks it’s pretty cool.

You can watch all the episodes of Every Singaporean Son from this YouTube playlist or find out more information from the official promotion page here.
