Madagascar zone in USS will be closing down for good on 27 March (Sun)

In case you haven’t heard, the longtime Madagascar zone in Universal Studios Singapore will be going away soon.

One Last Boogie

To let fans enjoy the rides and experiences one last time, the Sentosa theme park will be holding a Farewell Celebration from now till 27 March this month.

Visitors will be able to join Madagascar characters from Dreamworks Animation including Alex, Gloria, King Julien, Rico, Skipper and more in their current home.

Here are some of the activities to look forward to.

Penguin Cha Cha Cha (25-27 Mar)

Catch the Penguins from DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar as they waddle out and boogie to the cha-cha beat!

Move It! Move It! Meet & Greet

Catch your favourite friends from the wild as they come out to meet fans in the Madagascar zone for the last time.

Bon Voyage! Blowout!

Stay on to witness Alex, Gloria, King Julien and The Penguins of Madagascar as they ride out on amazing floats. The stars will be dressed up especially for this larger-than-wildlife celebration, which promises to be an event you, and they, won’t forget.

Join the dance challenge

Fans can also take home a free adorable plush toy by uploading a video of themselves doing dance moves on TikTok.

Here’s how:

  • Take a video of yourself doing the dance moves from the reference video
  • Upload your video on TikTok with #madamoments on the day of your visit to Universal Studios Singapore
  • Show your TikTok video to our friendly staff at the Universal Studios Singapore Guest Services Lobby
  • Receive your Baby Alex plushie

What’s next?

It’s not all bad news though as new attraction zones such as Minion Land will be coming to Universal Studios Singapore with construction to commence in the 2nd quarter of 2022.

Here’s a sneak peek from the digital renders.

The upcoming Minion Land themed zone will have multiple new rides and an immersive motion-simulator 3D ride featuring hyper-realistic projection systems. There will also be themed shops and restaurants.

Super Nintendo World has been announced for Universal Studios Singapore as well and is slated to arrive sometime between now till 2025. Visitors will be able to expect popular Nintendo characters and adventures come to life with themed rides, shops and restaurants as well.
