IKEA Singapore has just launched a new small-sized air purifier with an ultra-affordable price tag.
UPPÅTVIND Air Purifier
The UPPÅTVIND air purifier costs just $50 and is now available at all IKEA stores including Alexandra, Jurong and Tampines.
Despite its small size, it is no slouch when it comes to air purifying or important features.
Measuring less than 30cm on all sides, the UPPÅTVIND air purifier is perfect for improving the air quality at home with two layers of filters which filter away more than 99.5 percent of small airborne particles such as PM2.5 particles, dust and pollen.
It is optimised for rooms of 7 square meters where air is filtered through 5 times per hour. IKEA says it is fine to use in larger rooms as well, although it will take a longer cleaning time.
The pre-filter can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner while the particle filter must be replaced when it is dirty.
It comes with a handle for moving around different rooms where it is needed most.
Fan speeds are adjustable as well, so you can choose the lowest fan speed with a low noise level during the night.
Practical cable management allows you to easily slide the cord into one corner of the air purifier to hide it and avoid frustrating cord clutter. It can also be placed upright on a table or laid down on its side on a shelf.
For the technically inclined, the UPPÅTVIND moves around a respectable 31 m3/h CADR at the lowest speed and 95 m3/h at the highest.
There’s also an introductory video on how it works.
It is in stock at all stores at the time of this writing but will likely move fast at such an affordable price point.
